For more detailed financial information on individual store locations, we invite you to complete our 5-minute Questionnaire to receive our FDD.
How do I apply for a Wag N’ Wash franchise?

It’s easy- just complete our 5-minute Confidential Questionnaire to begin your franchise application process. Qualifying candidates will receive a call from a Wag N’ Wash representative, who will talk with you about our business model, as well as find out more about you!

Why do your customers prefer Wag N’ Wash over other pet retail and grooming options?
We pride ourselves on being more than just a pet wash and grooming service that also sells pet food and supplies- we’re an all-in-one curated boutique experience! People enjoy visiting Wag N’ Wash with their companion animals and receiving world-class customer service from knowledgeable experts on the sales floor- all while knowing that we only carry the best all-natural foods and supplies for dogs and cats.
How will you help me market my Wag N’ Wash location?
Each Wag N’ Wash Franchise Owner has a dedicated marketing expert to help with specific, localized marketing needs. Your marketing expert will help you create a marketing calendar, negotiate rates for advertising, and even help you with digital marketing tactics like social media marketing, Google Adwords, SEO, and more!
Do you offer multi-unit franchise agreements?
Yes- we offer 2 or 3-pack multi-unit agreements for our qualifying candidates, and Area Developer agreements are available on a case-by-case basis. Ask your Development Manager for more details.
How long does it take to open a Wag N’ Wash location?
Once you’ve signed your Franchise Agreement, you can expect your shiny new Wag N’ Wash location to be up and running within 6-12 months.
I’m nervous about owning a business- what kind of training will I receive to ensure I know what I’m doing?
At Wag N’ Wash, our philosophy is that training NEVER ends! Your initial training at Wag University will consist of 64 hours of classroom instruction and 166 hours of on-the-job training. Additionally, we require our Franchise Owners and General Managers to pass an 80-question exam upon completion of training. This comprehensive, in-depth training covers all the basics of owning a Wag N’ Wash franchise, including real estate, construction, marketing, product training, and, most importantly, what it means to be part of the Wag N’ Wash franchise family! Our involvement with your success doesn’t stop there- we’re always on call for ongoing support as long as you own your franchise!
I love dogs and cats more than anything...but I’m more interested in entrepreneurship than day-to-day operations. Can I be a semi-absentee Franchise Owner?
Absolutely! Our Semi-Absentee Franchise Owners will need to hire a General Manager, who must be approved by our Corporate team. Your General Manager will have to be in attendance at initial training and pass a written exam. Semi-Absentee ownership is a great way to grow your business and focus on expanding your Wag N’ Wash empire without having to worry about the day-to-day operations of your store.
Is there an ongoing royalty fee for franchising with Wag N’ Wash?
We charge a 3% weekly royalty fee for the first 6 months you are in operation, 4% weekly for months 7-12 of your first year in business, and 6% weekly after that.
What are the best locations for a Wag N’ Wash in my community?
We find that Wag N’ Wash locations do best in stand-alone buildings or strip malls semi-affluent cities and suburbs with high volumes of foot traffic. Being adjacent to similar upscale-type businesses such as Whole Foods Market also seems to bode well for Wag N’ Wash…after all, we’ve been called “the Whole Foods of pet retail!”
I’ve never worked in the pet industry before...am I still eligible to own a Wag N’ Wash franchise?
Absolutely! Experience in pet care or grooming is not necessary for our Franchise Owners, but we do find that a background in business, sales, or management is a plus!
